How it works

A shuffle that is actually random

Picks come from crypto.getRandomValues with rejection sampling, dealt out of a shuffled bag — so every track in the filtered set plays once before any track plays twice.

Links that resolve

Each track links to YouTube, YouTube Music, Spotify, Apple Music and Discogs. The links are built from the artist and title at render time, so they cannot rot the way a stored video id does.

Two editions

Paper and dark, on the sun/moon switch in the header. Your choice is remembered and applied before the page paints. Paper is the default; your operating system is not consulted.

Nothing in the way

One stylesheet, one script, one data file per era. No Tailwind CDN, no icon font, no analytics, no cookie banner — because there are no cookies.
